Young Thug Set To Be Released From Jail After Judge Sentenced Him To 15 Years Of Probation

Young Thug is set to be released from jail as he was handed 15 years of probation after pleading guilty to participating in criminal street gang activity in a dramatic courtroom scene on Thursday.

After hearing sentencing recommendations from both prosecution and defence, judge Paige Reese Whitaker, sentenced Young Thug, born Jeffery Williams, to time served, plus at least 15 years of probation.

The sentencing brought a dramatic and unexpected conclusion to Williams’ starring role in the longest trial in Georgia history.

The terms of his release include:

  • BANNED FROM METRO ATLANTA
  • HAS TO DO 4 PRESENTATIONS/CONCERTS A YEAR AGAINST GANG VIOLENCE
  • CAN TRAVEL FOR WORK/TO MAKE MUSIC
  • NO CONTACT WITH GANG MEMBERS OR CO-DEFENDANTS (EXCEPT FOR HIS BROTHER AND GUNNA)
  • CANNOT PROMOTE GANGS IN ANY WAY
