Lotes is a highly rated UK producer and founder of BL@ACKBOX, a media platform that has gained a substantial amount of respect in the UK scene for promoting upcoming rappers and providing one of the hottest freestyle platforms in the UK Rap scene. Lotes has been influential in the development of artists and has been an orchestrator in the progression of UK Rap.

Besides being a producer, Lotes is well known for his collaborative mixtapes. Lotes has an extensive discography teaming up with the hardest rappers to ever grace the scene. If you are a fan of UK Rap and the progression of Rap music then Lotes has most definitely worked with your favourite rapper.

Lotes was quiet about a potential summer release but he decided to release the new collaborative mixtape entitled ‘Sun, Sex & Suspicious Police’ and we are glad it finally hit the streets. This mixtape has an all star selection of features from the likes of: Potter Payper, Kilo Keemzo, Joe Black, Coinz and many more. Is ‘Sun, Sex & Suspicious Police’ the soundtrack for the summer?

The mixtape begins with rising star Kilo Keemzo setting off the mixtape with the track “Qwengerz” a track with a wavy hook and fiery verses. Kilo Keemzo has been shutting the scene down recently so it is only right that he teams up with lotes to drop something exclusive for the mixtape.

Since Dave featured on BL@CKBOX having accumulated over 30,000 views for his freestyle, we were waiting to hear some new material from the young upcoming rapper. Gladly he linked up with Lotes and we have “Mid Summer Night”, a track that demonstrates Dave’s story telling ability and “Wanna Know”, a thought provoking track of Dave, his lifestyle and the love for the money.  The tracks on ‘Sun, Sex & Suspicious Police” proves Lotes’ is representing the new generation of rappers as well as the recurring artists that regularly appear on his collaborative mixtapes.

Lotes’ mixtape is packed with exclusives that you will not hear anywhere else and we are presented with freestyles from the likes of: NMS, Shivers and Young Marv.

As this is a summer release it is only right that we have some tracks to vibe to in the summertime. Tracks include: Manny Mellow’s “Really Wanna”, “Wiggle” featuring Big Watch, Coinz and Metamor, Stretch’s “Dough On My Phone” and the catchy “Boogie Dance” by Kilo Keemzo which is a certified track for the raves.

Potter Payper makes an appearance on the mixtape with “We Could Really Change Rap”, Potter Payper raps over a nostalgic, old school Hip Hop production dropping that real life rap. Potter Payper has been a long term collaborator with Lotes so it is great to hear him on ‘Sun, Sex and Suspicious Police’.

We also hear tracks from Mover with a throwback of one of his tracks off of his last mixtape entitled “Slew Dem Like David” and a revamped version of his One Take Freestyle with a new production entitled “Eulogy”.
