Following the release of brand new EP “Adultsville”, rising singer and songwriter Bellah returns today with the news of her first ever headline show on Wednesday 23rd November 2022. Bellah’s long-awaited headline show will be held at brand new venue, The Lower Third – with support from fellow R&B singer, Raheaven. The landmark venue in London closed its doors in 2015 for redevelopment and has hosted early gigs for several household names, including Adele.

Bellah’s long-awaited new EP “Adultsville” lands in the wake of a truly defining last twelve months for the rising star, who after a highly-anticipated return to music, is back and shining in new ways. Bellah returned this year with new singles “Prototype” and “In The Moment”, both a look into a whole new world that she is creating for herself full of new and exciting opportunities. Graduating musically since 2020’s Art Of Conversation, “Adultsville” is Bellah’s boldest body of work yet. Centred on themes of self-development, family, relationships and womanhood, the new EP is a “soundtrack to life” Bellah explains. It’s a project that builds a community for all those navigating the challenges of becoming an adult, and all the freedom and responsibility that it brings.

The new EP is accompanied by brand new single and video “Garden”, the third track lifted from the new project. Recorded in LA and produced by Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum producer Jonah Christian, “Garden” is yet another display of Bellah’s mesmeric vocals paired with her authentic songwriting. The Ray Fiasco directed visual sees Bellah transformed, showing up as the strongest, confident and most powerful version of herself.

Fuelled with raw and totally-honest lyrics, the EP is commentary of all the uncomfortable yet necessary lessons Bellah faced in order to become her best self – the Bellah that is demanding more from life, feels more powerful than ever and has something to say. “Adultsville” explores the path of losing and then finding yourself, “Prototype” details the challenge of those closest to you coming to terms with who you are becoming, whilst “Always Something” sees Bellah refusing to conform to the pressure of society’s standards.

Delivering a quality body of work, the project sees her collaborate with some of the most highly respected names in the game, including Grammy Award-winning multidisciplinary Ari PenSmith (Beyonce, Wizkid, Snoh Aalegra, Alicia Keys), who executive produced the project. This is Bellah as she’s never been heard before, armed with a maturer sound both vocally and sonically, it’s a process she describes as “levelling up”. It’s this commitment to her growth and refining her craft that has Bellah poised as one of the most exciting emerging artists in the UK. “The past year and a half has been the most transformative, painful, incredible, eye opening, beautiful and shitty time of my life. So I decided to encapsulate this weird time into seven beautiful songs for you and for me. I hope this can be your life’s soundtrack, it’s been mine for a while.” Bellah says of the EP.
