Big Zeeks has tapped Haile for his latest single, ‘System’. The track has been accompanied by a slick visual shot and edited by Ellie Howard and Freddie Stewart.
The pair display great chemistry and deliver a conscious track that is demonstrative of the duo’s supreme talents. Haile’s vocals and Big Zeeks‘ delivery unveil a progressive, reggae-infused anthem.
Speaking on the track, Big Zeeks states:
“‘System’ was a special record from the moment we made it. Being in Jamaica, surrounded by incredible musicians and creative energy, pushed me into a different space. I’ve always brought dancehall into my music, but recording over live instrumentation and working with Haile gave the song a different feel and authenticity. We come from similar cultural influences but express them in different ways, and I think that’s what makes the record connect. It’s a UK and Jamaica link-up that happened naturally.”
Haile added:
“What I loved about ‘System’ was how naturally everything came together. The song has roots in reggae and dancehall, but it also carries the energy of London’s scenes. Working with Zeeks was easy because we both understand those influences. Being in Jamaica gave the record an honesty and warmth that you can’t recreate anywhere else.”
