British R&B star Angel returns with brand new single ‘Call Me’

After more than a decade spent shaping the sound of modern British R&B, west London icon Angel makes his highly anticipated return to the soundscape with his new single “Call Me”.
A dark, seductive and emotionally charged instalment, “Call Me” is the product of frank and vulnerable lyricism paired with moody, late-night production – all whilst standing as an ode to the UK R&B golden era.
With a list of international collaborators spanning from Cleo Sol to Giggs, Wizid to Burna Boy and Scorcher to Davido, “Call Me” feels like a reset moment symbolic of R&B still running through Angel.
Speaking on the track, Angel states: “This song is ultimately about confronting the fact that you miss the presence of someone who is close and important to you. A lot of music nowadays doesn’t really explore the vulnerable male perspective. Bringing back yearning in R&B and saying how you really feel. It was inspired by a time in music where people weren’t afraid to be musical and really lean into melody and storytelling.”
