Deto Black and Bree Runway have linked up on their new single, ‘Daddy, I’m Going Out’. The track has been accompanied by an atmospheric visual shot by Ben Cole.
The duo display an undeniable chemistry and bring out the best in each other, creating a release that is greater than the sum of its parts. There is no doubt that both of these artists are at the top of their game, with even more room left to grow.
Speaking on the track, Black states:
“Daddy I’m Going Out” is a really special song to me because it’s actually inspired by my life. I remember when I was younger, whenever I was getting ready to go out, I’d come downstairs and my dad would always be sitting in the dining area , literally no matter what time of day it was. I’d be dressed very chic, very sexy, ready for my night, and he’d just look at me. He wouldn’t even necessarily have to say anything. His eyes were basically saying, “Is that what you’re going to wear out?” And I’d be like, “Yeah… that is what I’m going to wear out.”
As I got older, it became less of a conversation and more of a statement: “Daddy, I’m going out.”
