Headie One, FKA Twigs & Fred Again Unveil The Cinematic “Don’t Judge Me” Visuals
27 Jan 2021
If you journey back to Spring of last year, you will remember Headie One and Fred Again’s joint project entitled ‘GANG’; packed with an assortment of sounds and textures, the pair enlisted no other than FKA Twigs for “Don’t Judge Me”. All three artists have come together to share the visuals for what’s considered a stand-out track from the project.
This body of work sparked a lot of conversation surrounding Headie’s sound and all-round artistry – which if we’re going to be honest, at some point many of our hit-makers will eventually break out their box and explore there potential and style, after all it’s only natural to evolve! Although this sent many of the Drill lovers going wild on the TL, this project was a much needed cultural reset and in my opinion, was executed perfectly – whether you agree with it or not!
FKA Twigs who is reputable for her intricate and genre defying sound teamed up with Headie for their track “Don’t Judge Me”. Posing as one of the stand-out tracks from the project, many of which complained the original was too short and left supporters wanting more! Joining forces for the unexpected visuals, the track itself has been extended and navigates us through a cinematic visual that pushes all artistic boundaries.
Clocking in at just over 6 minutes long, the London emcee uses this track as an opportunity to steer us through a fresh set of thought-provoking lyrics that explore the injustices that the Black community face on a daily basis. Enriched with an awakened sound and feel, the “Don’t Judge Me” visuals are a must-watch!
