IWD: Ass3mble Agency Launch ‘Succession Freestyle’ Series

On International Womens Day, we are welcoming and celebrating more innovation from women in music. Ass3mble Agency is the newest creative platform with a fix for female contributors within the UK’s entertainment scene and today marks the official launch of their brand-new ‘Succession Freestyle’ series.
Hiring a crew and inviting talent that is exclusively femme is no small game-plan but it’s one that founders, Fadumo, Ashley and Abigail have pulled off organically. The series is hosted by Westside radio’s DJ Esi and the event emerges with a thrilling appearance from rising British rappers, Lavida Loca and SB, who do nothing less than shell. That’s right – rally behind the agency that offers inclusivity and a means to exposure for both major and underground acts!
It is no secret that women in the industry, particularly those of colour, see less opportunities and executive positions in the wider framework. The work of dismantling gender disparity is being done by women themselves, spearheaded by organisations such as Womxn In Ctrl and similar. Ass3mble Agency have both channeled and challenged this reality by pulling talent, a behind-the-scenes crew and creatives together over a weekend in a South London studio. During a pandemic.
