East London has been notorious for producing some of the UK’s most elite artists and Melisa Whiskey is no exception to this rule. The Hackney born Afrobeats artist is flying the flag for the females with her new jam Crazy Love.

The track is produced by one of Nigeria’s most coveted producers Jaypizzle; he meshes together two great genres – RnB and Afrobeats producing a melody perfect for what looks like to be the close of Summer.

Speaking on the single, Melissa commented; “I wrote Crazy Love whilst at my family house in Ikeja Lagos Nigeria. The beat was produced by Jaypizzle and immediately I felt inspired drawing from a whirlwind bad relationship experience of unrequited & CRAZY love. Melisa is drawn from both her British R&B roots combining them with her Nigerian Afrobeats vibe.

Creating a sound that is distinctively hers. Melisa says, ” I wrote crazy love coz, at the time I was in a really dark place and was literally pouring my heart out through music”. “you got, you got me out of my mind…. is literally the first lyrics I wrote down when I heard the beat”.Jaypizzle & I went to the studio to record just to make sure the song was right, and after a few tweaks, Crazy Love was born”
