Nobu Woods shares new mixtape ‘CHIMERA’

NYC R&B singer Nobu Woods has released his new mixtape, CHIMERA, accompanied by a music video for the track “THE TIDE”.

The Jamaica, Queens-born artist is known for his “boundless and rule-breaking” R&B, with previous works including the mixtapes IRIS, MIDNIGHT MOTIONS, and UNTL, as well as recent singles “WHITEOUT” and “DIRTY”. Woods is coming off a major year, having wrapped his run opening for Kaash Paige and selling out headline shows in both New York and Los Angeles.

With this release, Woods enters the most adventurous era of his career to date – written and produced mostly alone – the album introduces a new, darker sound while adhering to his signature approach without features.

The track “THE TIDE” exemplifies this new direction, finding Woods at his most personal. This intimate theme is highlighted by a West Coast-themed visual set against the iconic backdrop of the Los Angeles coastline.
