Rising South London rapper Proph has returned to the game with his latest track, ‘Rap’s Dead Freestyle’. Set across a soulful Meek Mill beat before transitioning into a Masego sample, Proph is able demonstrate his top tier wordplay and lyrical ability, cementing himself as one of the most exciting artists in a new generation of UK Rap.

The track is accompanied by a music video which follows Proph from his hometown in Thornton Heath to a festival booking in Budapest. This is the artist’s first release since his debut project, ‘Lost In Translation’. The EP showed off Proph’s talents as both an artist and producer, blending influences from 90’s and 00’s Hip-Hop with an unmistakeable UK Rap sound.

‘Rap’s Dead Freestyle’ acts a notice that Proph is only just getting started. Still at a young age and blessed with prodigious talent, there is a real opportunity for the artist to become one of the leaders in this scene for many years to come.
