Ahead of his Split Personality mixtape release, which is set to drop on Friday 21st August, S1 shows us exactly why the tape is being tipped as such a hotly anticipated debut release thanks to an upfront taste via new single Sweeper.

Catching a softer, mellifluous tone than those usually associated to S1, Sweeper leans in on guitar riffs, choral synths and a teetering high-hat that sets the pace of the record – creating a major vibe from the rising star! A record that you can easily get lost in, S1’s ability to move you from the depths of the stirring introduction of the instrumental in to bubbling along with his engaging lyrical story via perfectly crafted lyricism, streamline flows, broken-pitched captivating vocals and a killer hook is the confirmation that he is transcending to a new chapter in his music.

The accompanying visuals align with the tracks spotlight on S1. Filmed in Eastbourne the aerial views of vast natural scenery, panning shots of moorland and the UK’s coastline, bring an element of solitude to capture the introspective feel of the record. Gilded with fast cars, tilted angles and inverted colours, the video can be interpreted as a metaphor for S1’s many personas, experiences and emotions.
