Hailing from Toronto, rising R&B singer-songwriter Savannah Ré has unveiled her latest soulful offering titled, Solid.

Set to feature on her forthcoming debut EP Opia, Solid boasts Savannah Ré’s indisputable authentic, honest and vulnerable wordsmith. Intertwined with her light and angelic vocals, she effortlessly flows across the acoustic and rhythmic backdrop.

Speaking on the release, Savannah commented; “Normally, YogiTheProducer and I just go cook up in the basement with no expectation and see what happens but for this session, I knew I wanted to make something heartfelt. We started out with the loop you hear throughout the song played by our friend Kevinshideout and I just started freestyling – which I pretty much do to write everything. My writing process is pretty free flowing in that sense; inspiration can come from anywhere.

Within that process, this message sort of started coming out, just about loyalty and asking the right questions within love. It was a message of sincerity which is why the chorus comes across as a plea rather than a demand; to stay down with each other through whatever may come, through thick and thin. We really took our time with this song over the year to create it.”
