UK R&B powerhouse Mnelia has dropped her new single ‘Hold You Down’ Featuring UK rapper Strandz’. Produced by Emil and Nyge [Ghetts, Sampha, Kojey Radical, AJ Tracey].

’Hold You Down’ is a sultry track featuring UK rapper Strandz. The single asks the question: will you be there when I need you, will you have my back? The track showcases Mnelia’s silky vocals entwined with Strandz’s rested flow all layered over the lush soulful production.

Speaking on the ‘Hold You Down’ Mnelia explains;

“This track has always been one of my favourite songs and one I’m really passionate about because as much as I don’t like to admit it, if I’m in a relationship or dealing with someone I’m a type of person that overthinks the process a lot, so the hook, “are you going to hold me down like you promised”, is very very true to me. It was a pleasure working with Strandz, he has such a chilled vibe and we instantly hit it off. He’s someone that I really love and respect in the UK scene because It feels like we both do nostalgia in our own eclectic way. ‘Hold You Down’ is something for the boys and the girls, it’s for everyone, like for my friends, are you going to hold me down, my family, are you going to hold me down, It’s not exclusive to love and romantic relationships”.
