YAZ makes her highly anticipated return with new single ‘Difficult’

London-based popstar-in-waiting YAZ returns today with her new single ‘Difficult’, an infectious, confessional release that continues her quiet rise as one of the most exciting new voices in British music. 

A canon of striking, self-aware pop, her intimate lyricism is articulated with a beautiful tone and paired with synth-led production set against dreamlike melodies and a big-hearted, anthemic chorus.

“I wrote Difficult about feeling silly after an argument with my sister, knowing it could have been avoided if we were less stubborn. I made it on the last day of my three-month trip to LA with no pressure, which meant I didn’t overthink and just blurted out what was on my mind. Sometimes as girls we feel a lot of guilt for no reason. This song captures that in a fun, freeing way. It’s my realest, most self-aware song yet, and I’m excited to put it out.”
