The Chart Update: Tion Wayne & Russ Millions Land #1 With “Body” Single

Let’s get straight into the headliner: Tion Wayne and Russ Millions’ viral “Body” collaboration has landed at #1 on the UK’s Official Singles chart! What a victory for the London Drill duo, who saw a similar response with their previous “Keisha & Becky” track, in 2019. 

Returning this year with their #1 hit, Tion and Russ prove that their formula works – either that, or they have the Midas touch. The single’s campaign consisted mainly of authentic engagement with fans, a playful remix (ft. Arrdee, 3x3E1 & ZT, Bugzy Malone, Fivio Foreign, Darkoo and Buni) and a TikTok challenge. Proving the naysayers wrong, the rappers’ success is a testament of truly understanding the demand from a major market and supplying.  

A huge congratulations is in order for both talents and the wider team! Body-ody, produced by Gotcha, poses as the top single in the U.K. and, more importantly, it’s a Drill record. More wins like this for the culture allows for less scrutiny around the genre and means more of our homegrown acts can be valued and invested in like our counterparts.
