0207 Def Jam & Universal Music Welcome Stormzy

Newly-launched label, 0207 Def Jam, recently announced themselves as Universal Music’s frontline U.K. label. Co-presidents, Alex & Alec Boateng, now welcome Stormzy as their first major signing as the Glastonbury headliner exits his deal with Atlantic Records.

Stormzy stands as a pioneer in modern British music, with two platinum albums – “Gang Signs & Prayer” and “Heavy Is The Head” – within two years. The leading British artist amassed his popularity, in 2015, with his viral “Shut Up” freestyle and has now connected with Def Jam’s U.K. hub which vows to cultivate music “with a style that only London and the UK can provide.”
